Apollo Six

A glimpse of Earth at a turbulent time from the window of an unmanned spacecraft.
Apollo Six was launched on April 4, 1968, the same day Martin Luther King was shot and killed in Memphis Tennessee. It immediately experienced bad vibrations causing it to burn its engines and fall into a strange orbit. Its command service module survived and landed 10 hours after its launch, 43 miles off target in the waters off Hawaii.
